The Project facilitated plantings in public spaces and promoted the use of native plants in our region. It was also in honor of Iris Durel, who served with our sister organization for many years.  Irises were planted in multiple locations including Acadian Village, Beaver Park and along the Vermilion.

Mile markers signs were installed at bridges and at some residences along the Vermilion. We thank Donald Sagrera and the Teche Vermilion Fresh Water District for their efforts.
