In loving memory of Charles Wyatt and Jan Wyatt

Founding members of BVPA

Jan and Charlie Wyatt, with support of the Lafayette Garden Club and other community members, founded Bayou Vermilion Preservation Association as a 501(c)(3) non-profit in 2013.

As board members, we often reflect on the vision, passion, and drive that garnered the support of businesses, government leaders, non-profits, and citizens in this community. Thanks to the Wyatt's leadership, we have been fulfilling BVPA's mission for nearly a decade.

It is our intention to continue the legacy that the Wyatts set forth when they founded BVPA and championed water quality for the Teche-Vermilion Watershed.

Sincerely,
The BVPA Board
